What’s Cooking?

Almonds, peas, and mint

Got friends coming ’round on Friday night for a BBQ?  Want to mix it up a bit by serving an old favorite in a different way?  Here are my picks of mouthwatering veggie recipes from around the web this week.

We are having people over for a BBQ on Friday night.  I love to cook and feed our friends, but the next couple of days at work are going to be flat out.  At times like this I want something that is quick and easy to prepare with maximum flavor.  This dish I can throw together when I get home from work. (Cookie and Kate)

There aren’t many things I miss about being a meat eater, but the meat dish referenced in this story is one of them.  So glad to have found an alternative in this recipe. (Chocolate for Basil)

For me, being in the kitchen is a form of meditation.  I am a worrier by nature and so having an activity I can lose myself in really helps to clear my head.  The the bonus with cooking is, you have something yummy to show for it when you’re done! (Sprouted Kitchen)

I am always on the lookout for an alternative way to cook this vegetable.  The sauce that goes with it is the real hero of this recipe.  I’m already thinking of all the other things I can pair it with. (Oh My Veggies)
