These Cranberry Bliss Balls are sweet, chewy, and moreish. Perfect with a cuppa or in a lunchbox. What’s more, it only takes 4 ingredients to make yourself a delicious treat that’s also good for you. Yes please! 🙂
Although I mostly crave savory nowadays, sweets were my weakness in a past life. In fact, I have been known to eat a whole pack of sweets for lunch. Thank goodness those days are over…
Having said that, I still enjoy a sweet treat every now and again. My Cranberry Bliss Balls really hit the spot. I think it’s the combination of tart cranberries, crunchy almonds, and the mellow caramel vibes of the dates that does it for me.
As an added bonus these little beauties are also pretty nourishing. Cranberries are chock full of antioxidants, almonds are a great source of protein, and the rolled oats provide a bit of slow burning energy. Why does all this matter? Well, it’s because the combination of all those nutrients (and lack of refined sugar) prevent you from over-indulging. A huge problem for me back in the day.
You know what else I love about this treat? How simple they are to make. Perfect for someone who sees themselves as a cook and not a baker (yes, that’d be me 😉 ).
Cranberry Bliss Balls – super simple to make and super yummy to eat. I just know you’re going to love them.
Cranberry Bliss Balls
Makes around 25 mini balls
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup roast almonds
1 cup dates (I use regular pitted dates)
1/4 cup rolled oats
Method:
- Combine the cranberries, dates, and almonds in a food processor and blitz until you have a sticky mixture.
- Now add your rolled oats and blitz again, just a little.
- Using damp hands, roll heaped teaspoon size portions of the mixture into little balls and place them, side by side on an oven tray.
- Place the bliss balls into the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
