What’s cooking?

Plums, pistachios, and peppermint tea

What’s one of my favorite things to do when I’m not cooking, taking photos of or blogging about food?  Reading other people’s food blogs of course!  Yes, my name is Paula and I’m food-blogaholic! 😜  The following are some amazing dishes I found cooking around the web this week.

I came across this blog at the very beginning of my vegetarian journey when I was trying to lift my salad game.  I was inspired then just as I’m inspired now.  Think, big hearty salads with lots of texture and flavour but totally doable.  By which I mean, simple ingredients with a minimum of fuss.  The following dish is the perfect example. Cookie and Kate

Give me a bowl of pasta and I’m a happy girl.  I’m not kidding, pasta is my happy place.  So when I came across this recipe I just knew I had to share it with you all.  It’s yummy, full of nutrients and crazy easy to make.  In fact, this dish would be perfect for those who are not confident in the kitchen or even a newby vegetarian/vegan.  Blissful Basil

I make no secret of the fact that I am the only vegetarian in my house.  Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the kid’s favorite meal (I’m talking desert island favorite) is the meat version of this next dish.  I can’t tell you how happy it made me to find a veg-friendly recipe for this family favorite.  I’m totally making it Sunday night for dinner. The First Mess

Sweet and savory together in perfect harmony?   Impossible, you might think, but the following blogger has other ideas.  Although she’s hella humble this next recipe is innovative, tasty, and kind to your belly.  There’s a batch on the way for back to school next week.  Sprouted Kitchen
